Reel Focus is, at its core, a site for movie reviews and news. You can expect to see reviews of films in theaters, on DVD and even the occasional made for TV film (if I have a strong opinion about it),
In addition to the normal reviews you will find on the site, I will also have special features that I will revisit occasionally:
Retro Reviews: Once in a while, I will post my review a film that came out before 1970. Some of these will be well known, and others may be relegated to obscurity…but I maintain that films could not be what they are today without the giants that came before, and I believe they deserve their spot in the sun.
Revisits: I have strong opinions about the movies that I love and even stronger opinions about the ones I cannot stand. Sometimes, though, either because a friend challenged me to rewatch a movie, or I happened upon one by accident, I see the movie again and my opinion can change. It doesn’t always, but revisiting a film to see how my opinion has changed over time can often be fun – and enlightening. Read More »
